I found a proper fix. The original solution does not allow the scroll to work because the currently available mouse driver on the apple website is an old one, from 2011. Since I have a MacBook I was able to download a more recent version of the driver from Bootcamp Assistant, 2015 version, and when installed on my other windows PC the scroll works perfectly! Now, I can share this driver with anyone that wants it, but I don't know what website to upload it to? It's an .exe file so lots of services block it thinking it's a virus.
Windos For Mac Magic Mouse Driver
I did this but the magic mouse won't scroll. Further research has not solved it except with more added 3rd party unknown software. The reason I am back on Dell is because apple makes it SO HARD to share with other platforms. Witness trying to get a photo out of "photo". It should be drag and drop but instead it's an export procedure. I'm happy to be totally back in Windows and out of Apple computers. I still use the ipad because there still doesn't appear to be a good competitor for that unfortunately.
You can also change the mouse settings by heading to Settings > Devices > Mouse. You can swap the right and left buttons on the mouse settings page or adjust the cursor speed. If required, you can also change the scrolling speed, but you will first need to install the Magic Mouse driver on your Windows PC.
For an automatic process that requires a few mouse clicks, you will need to download and install a third-party application like Smart Driver Care. This application can facilitate Apple Magic Mouse driver download on Windows 10 PC. Here are steps to follow:
I just purchased a space gray magic mouse 2 this week. A lot of reviews saying that magic mouse has terrible ergonomics. But my work requires me to do a lot of scrolling, either for browsing internet or viewing design files. So, I decided to get myself a space gray magic mouse 2. Despite the fact that Apple discontinuing their space gray accessories. The package came with some bonus accessories, such as black charging thunderbolt cable, mouse pad, small mouse pouch, and also black matte surface protector, pretty neat ?
my magic mouse works ok on my PC wth widows 7.I was trying to follow the same procedures I have done for my PC on my latest MacBook retina display early 2015 running on Bootcamp, but natural scroll of my magic mouse did not work. Does anybody has any solution on it ?
I tried 2 other mice I have, a magic mouse 2 from another 27 inch iMac and the first version mouse with batteries. They could work on this computer in the past but none would work this time. It is is if it is all dead. I bought a cheap optical mouse from K-Mart and am using that.
I have rarely seen a suggestion works so perfectly on the first attempt as it did here. I was struggling to connect my magic mouse to my PC without success. I stumbled on to this. Not only could I connect, I also could scroll after installing the software provided in the link. Thanks a ton
Thanks for taking the time to leave the comment. Are you using Windows 10 on your Mac via Boot Camp? If so, the only suggestion from my end is refer you to this Apple article -us/HT204990 and make sure device drivers are properly installed. You may want to charge your Magic Mouse 2 for a few minutes until the battery reaches a relative high percentage (say at least 50% remaining). Also, try switching off the mouse and turning off bluetooth on Windows 10, then switch on both and try reconnecting. I hope it would work out.
Trackpad++ is the world's first alternate Windows driver for Apple Multi Touch and Force Touch trackpads of the Apple Macbook, Macbook Pro / Retina and Air notebooks. Trackpad++ driver easily and automatically integrates itself with the Apple Boot Camp drivers, and comes with a Trackpad++ Control Module, the comprehensive control panel: Trackpad++ is not (proudly not!) a generic PC touch pad driver or whatsoever similar standard implementation. Trackpad++ is YOUR truly independent and custom-crafted trackpad driver for Boot Camp. The Trackpad++ project has been constantly evolving since 2011, to bring YOU the most satisfying experience: an optimal blend of the familiar Mac gestures, tuned for YOUR MacBook generation and YOUR version of the Microsoft Windows environment. Trackpad++ has been created for people who realize that MacBook is not a PC, and it should not pretend to be 'just the PC', even when it runs Windows. So better try the Trackpad++ yourself and compare... If YOU enjoy the quality of the driver and our dedication towards its development, then please consider to support the Trackpad++ project by donating. Many thanks!Windows 11 compatibility: as of Jan 2022, there exists at least one working method of installing Windows 11 on most MacBook models (by bypassing the TPM 2.0 hardware requirement). We have thoroughly tested the Trackpad++ driver with the final build of Windows 11 21H2, and ensured that everything works perfectly. So, from now on, Trackpad++ becomes Windows 11 compatible! Also, Trackpad++ driver is Microsoft cross-signed: no need to manipulate the Secure Boot settings anymore, as Windows fully trusts the cross-signed driver component. Features & benefits of the Trackpad++ driver 2, 3 and 4-finger gestures, such as pinch-to-zoom, back / forward, middle mouse button, Windows 10 / 11 gestures, and more;
3-finger drag with unique option to increase the pointer speed when dragging (much better than Boot Camp's semi-broken drag);
Hi, I installed the latest drivers (Rel. 3979) on my Win 10 PC (not using bluetooth), 50% of the time my cursor movements are very erratic. The cursor would just freeze half way of the intended movement. If I let go the cursor and touch the pad again I can continue to move the cursor. If I completely uninstall these Drivers my Magic Trackpad 2 works very smoothly as a basic mouse without any problems. Any ideas what is going on?
I was able to install the driver and use my trackpad very quickly! However, despite Touchpad Settings looking correct, the 2-finger scroll, zoom and other such features do not work. Only mouse move, click & right-click (2-finger) work.
Thank you for the detailed instructions. I have win 10 and i downloaded the driver and installed. But my BT does not detect the trackpad. I dont see anything called Apple magic trackpad in the list. what is the reason?
We are here showing two different methods to connect Apple magic mouse to Windows environment. All devices are not configured in the same manner. So, either method 1 or method 2 will work for sure to everyone. I recommend to try method 1 first as it will work in 90% of cases. 2ff7e9595c
